Francisco Lindor put together a strong day at the plate, as he launched a 420-foot home run and doubled to back up Nolan McLean's six scoreless innings in the Mets' 6-1 win against the Phillies on Sunday.

Mets pitching prospect Jonah Tong has had an up and down season in Syracuse but he's been trending upward as of late and in his five innings of work against Buffalo on Saturday, he limited the damage when he found himself in a jam. Luis Robert Jr. meanwhile is close to making his return to the big league club after several rehab starts and showed off his power bat with a long home run to provide Tong with some run support.

Interim Mets manager Andy Green and SS Francisco Lindor discussed another poor defensive effort in their 6-1 loss to the Phillies. The Mets committed three more errors with Green not seeing the team playing with confidence and Lindor described the continued difficulties as an "uphill fight."

The Mets were outplayed in every aspect of their 6-1 loss to the Phillies on Saturday afternoon. Pitchers Sean Manaea and Kodai Senga were hit hard, allowing 10 hits and six runs. The defense wasn't of much help behind them committing three errors and offensively, they managed just three hits on the day with Tyrone Taylor's solo HR accounting for their only run.

In his first rehab start as he looks to make his way back to the Bronx after being shut down with a bruised elbow in May,  Max Fried took the mound  for the Yankees Triple-A affiliate in Scranton Wilkes-Barre. Fried went three innings, throwing 52 pitches and striking out three. Clearly shaking off the rust, Fried threw 25 of those pitches in the first inning but was able to get through the second and third more efficiently. He did surrender a solo HR in the third inning but the priority was feeling healthy after the outing.
