He talked about continuing to add on and admitted the team's familiarity with Cortes' pitching played a big part in their success. Josh Hart said the goal in the second half of the 110-93 win over Portland was pretty simple, "Play better defense and play harder." The Knicks did both while on the offensive end, OG Anunoby continues to ascend with his sixth consecutive game of 20 points or more. Karl-Anthony Towns loves the aggressiveness he's seeing from Anunoby, especially with the team shorthanded.

Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau saw his club step up the defensive intensity in the third quarter where they took control of their 110-93 win over Portland. He felt the presence of Mitchell Robinson's rim protection frustrated the Blazers, causing turnovers and allowing the Knicks to thrive in transition.

Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau knew playing back-to-back nights would be "a challenge," especially having to face a rested Clippers team. The Knicks' nine turnovers led to 18 points against them and ultimately a 126-113 loss. Already shorthanded in the backcourt with Jalen Brunson and Deuce McBride sidelined, Thibodeau then had to do without Cameron Payne for the entire second-half with an injury. The coach however made no excuses, saying they were more than capable of "overcoming adversity," but didn't get it done.
