In this Islanders post game news conference, forward Brock Nelson struggled to explain the Islanders losing their fourth consecutive game, 4-1 to the Capitals. Nelson: "Found ourselves in a similar situation, down late in the game and right now we just can't find a way to get back into it and turn the tide." The Isles now embark on a four-game road trip and he knows, "this could be a big turning point for us, try to get a big win and get everybody feeling good."
