Kevin Durant may have found a new partner to team up with and it could happen with the Knicks.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski and Ramona Shelburne, Durant and fellow free agent Kawhi Leonard have discussed the possibility of playing together and only two teams are likely to sign the duo:

The Los Angeles Clippers and New York Knicks.

Per SNY's Ian Begley, the Knicks are firmly in play for Durant while people around Leonard have viewed the Knicks as a possible destination for the NBA Finals MVP.

The two free agents are expected to meet with both teams, along with several others once free agency begins at 6 p.m. on Sunday, but both the Clippers and Knicks have the salary cap space and interest to sign both players.

The Nets could also conceivably score Durant and Leonard, but the more likely scenario would be pairing Durant with Kyrie Irving, whose focus remains on Brooklyn.

However, the Nets are not considered the favorite to sign Durant, as SNY reported on Friday, although he is expected to meet with them.
