Five things to know about Sunday's game..
1) Domingo German was in control from the outset of this game (after allowing five walks in his first outing), in which he didn't allow a base hit until a one-out single in the sixth inning. German's final line - 6 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 2 BB and 3 K - is one which will make it easy for the Yankees to keep him in the rotation while Luis Severino remains on the injured list.
2) Gary Sanchez launched three homers, bringing his season total to six in just eight games played. Sanchez, who went 3-for-6 on the day, drove in six runs. Sanchez is now hitting .250 with nine RBIs for the season. It's early, but Sanchez is showing that his poor offensive display in 2018 might end up being the outlier of his young career.
3) Gleyber Torres added two more hits, including his third home run of the season, bringing his average to .371 this year. Torres has hit safely in seven of nine games this season. With the rash of injuries, Torres' ability to step up has been a welcome occurrence for the Yanks.
4) Clint Frazier got the start in left field after leading the Yankees' comeback Saturday night with a three-run homer. Frazier didn't disappoint, collecting a career-high four hits, including a homer in his first at-bat of the game and another in the sixth. Frazier should be starting in left on a daily basis regardless of the handedness of the opposing pitcher. If he continues producing, it might be hard to keep him out of the lineup when Aaron Hicks returns, with Brett Gardner a likely victim to lose playing time.
5) After getting off to a rocky start offensively, the Yankees came alive in their first road series of the season. The Yankees scored 29 runs in the series with 14 home runs, half of which came in Sunday's game.

What's next
The Yankees will stay on the road and head to Houston and begin a three-game series against the Astros on Monday.
RHP Masahiro Tanaka (1-0, 1.46 ERA) will oppose Astros RHP Justin Verlander (1-0, 4.09 ERA).
