The Yankees announced that Miguel Andujar has been recalled from Triple-A to fill in for Aaron Hicks, who is on paternity leave.

Andujar will make his season debut with the Yanks when he gets into the game. He had a solid spring training and has carried that over to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, where he's been hitting .347/.396/.551 with three homers and six RBI in 13 games.

Last season, Andujar played in just 45 games with New York, slashing .253/.284/.383 with six homers and 12 RBI.

Hicks being out is a loss for the Yankees, as he's been one of their better hitters to start the 2022 campaign. He owns a .377 on-base percentage, which has jolted him to leadoff recently, while also having a homer and four RBI.
