They have now won five games straight after their 7-5 victory Tuesday night. ...Luke Voit has been red hot at the plate with two home runs last night. He now has three in back-to-back games. ...Mike Ford launched his first homer of his career, a bomb to right center field. ...Chad Green was sent down to Triple-A before tonight's game after putting up a four spot in his relief appearance on Tuesday. With Green's ERA over 16 this season, the Yankees want him to figure things out in their farm system before returning. Stephen Tarpley was recalled.

LHP CC Sabathia (3-1, 2.37 ERA), who has been solid for the Yanks since the start of his season. He hasn't allowed an earned run over his first two starts, and has gone five innings in each contest. Last time out against the Royals, Sabathia allowed just three hits and one unearned run while striking out five and walking over.

Sabathia can enter the rare 1,000 strikeout club tonight with six swings and misses.

Who is starting for the Angels?

RHP Cam Bedrosian, who will be deployed as an opener for the Angels tonight. It looks as if Felix Pena will take over once Bedrosian is done.
