Pitcher Darren O’Day was placed on the 10-day injured list with a right rotator cuff strain, the Yankees announced on Saturday.
O’Day has thrown nine innings in 10 appearances this season, striking out nine and walking two while allowing three runs.
In a corresponding roster move, pitcher Michael King has been recalled from the alternate site. The right-hander has tossed 11 scoreless innings in three appearances in 2021.
