Albert Abreu has made his way back to the Yankees.
Abreu got designated for assignment from the Kansas City Royals, and the Yanks were quick to pick up the right-handed pitcher.
The 26-year-old was traded to the Texas Rangers prior to the start of this season for Jose Trevino (that trade worked out pretty well).
But the Rangers DFA'd him after seven games, allowing three earned runs over 8.2 innings.
With Kansas City, Abreu allowed two earned in 4.1 innings.
RHP David McKay was designated for assignment to make room for Abreu on the 40-man roster.
