Randle is competing with the rest of the Eastern Conference front court members for a spot on the roster.

When you first open NBA.com's All-Star starters voting page, Randle is listed at No. 8 among East front court players, strictly based on points per game.

Kevin Durant, Joel Embiid, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jayson Tatum, Jerami Grant, Gordon Hayward and Nikola Vucevic currently sit ahead of Randle in points per game this season, but Grant, Hayward and Vucevic are all within 1.5 points of Randle's average.

The advantage for Randle will come in his rebounding and passing. Of the seven players ahead of him, only Antetokounmpo averages more rebounds at 11.4 per game — Embiid is tied with Randle at 11.1.

Among the best rebounders in the conference, Randle and Embiid sit tied for fifth behind Andre Drummond (14.7), Clint Capela (14.5), Domantas Sabonis (12.2) and Antetokounmpo.

Randle also leads all front court players in the East in assists per game, with Khris Middleton and Sabonis both close behind him at 5.8. Among the top scorers, Antetokounmpo and Durant are the closet to him at 5.7 and 5.5, respectively.

With the three starting front court spots most likely going to Durant, Embiid and Antetokounmpo, you would expect that Randle should be a show in for one of the reserve spots off the bench.

However, crazier snubs have happened in the past. Just look at Bradley Beal last season — he was averaging 28.7 points (second-highest in the league at the time), 6.4 assists, and 4.5 rebounds.
