Scoring early has been a key to the Mets' recent success, and they were at it again on Tuesday night against the Marlins.

As Marlins starter Hector Noesi made his first major league appearance since 2015, the Mets jumped on him quickly. With two on and two out, Todd Frazier lined a ball to left field. Left fielder Jon Berti made a leaping attempt, but the ball glanced off his glove and fell in for a double, scoring the first run of the game.
