Pete Alonso has done everything he's needed to do on the field this spring to earn a spot on the Mets' Opening Day roster. Still, it will be emotional for the 24-year-old first baseman if he does indeed make the team.
"I might cry if they give me the thumbs up, because it's a lifelong dream," Alonso said.
