Held off the scoresheet for the first two games of his NHL career, Rangers rookie Kaapo Kakko broke a scoreless tie with the Oilers for his first NHL goal on Saturday.
The second-overall pick out of Finland took a pass in the slot from Ryan Strome, got the puck to his backhand and slipped it past Mike Smith to give the Rangers a 1-0 lead.
