Prior to last season's trade deadline, Dave Gettleman and the Giants traded multiple draft picks to acquire former Jets' sixth-overall pick Leonard Williams.
The move was seen as a risk at the time, as Williams was in the last year of his contract, and the Giants had given up valuable draft assets - a third and a fifth-round pick (that will become a fourth-rounder if Giants re-sign him before the new league year) - to bring in a player who wasn't a sure bet to be with the team long term.
So now that the new league year (which begins on March 18) is right around the corner, the question remains: Do the Giants need to re-sign Williams?
