ESPN released it's midseason top 50 prospect list and the Mets had a strong showing, with two of their highly-touted prospects made the cut.

Ranking in at No. 4 is catching prospect Francisco Alvarez. Alvarez was recently called up to Triple-A Syracuse after running through the competition at Double-A Binghamton.

The 21-year-old is slashing .250/.358/.509 with 23 homers in 93 games between both of the mentioned minor league levels.

Ranking at No. 34 is third base prospect Brett Baty. Baty, like Alvarez, recently got the call to Triple-A.

The 22-year-old owns a slash line of .315/.410/.533 with 19 homers in 95 games played this season.

Both Alvarez and Baty are having breakout seasons down on the farm. It remains to be seen if either player will have an impact in the bigs this season.
