Tuesday night's game between the Mets and Detroit Tigers at Citi Field has been postponed due to rain.

The game will be made up Thursday, April 4 at 1:10 p.m.

Manager Carlos Mendoza said during his pregame news conference the belief was there was a window to play between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m., but that changed as the rain continued to fall.

The start was delayed, but once it was clear the window to play began to close further, the game was postponed.

Right-hander Adrian Houser was set to make his debut for the Mets against fellow righty Casey Mize, a former No. 1 overall draft pick. That matchup will now be on Wednesday with Thursday's game featuring LHP Tarik Skubal of the Tigers taking on Jose Quintana.

This is the second game impacted by weather for the year after Opening Day had to be moved from Thursday to Friday last week.
