The Mets are in serious talks with free agent catcher James McCann, league sources told SNY on Wednesday morning.
As SNY reported last week, McCann is the team’s target over J.T. Realmuto. McCann is said to be seeking a four-year deal, and the Mets' pursuit is aggressive.
The team is also engaged with free agent center fielder George Springer.
