The Clippers remain linked to Knicks' forward Marcus Morris, but would Los Angeles be willing to part with one of their young guards to make it happen?

According to SNY Insider Ian Begley, the Knicks have interest in Landry Shamet, but the Clippers have been unwilling to part with him, per SNY sources.

The New York Post first reported that the Knicks were interested in Shamet.

Shamet, 22, has started 23 games for the Clippers this season, averaging 9.9 points per game. He is also shooting 39.5 percent from beyond the arc, while attempting nearly six three-pointers a game.

A Wichita State product, Shamet was originally drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers with the 26th pick in the 2018 NBA Draft. He was included in a trade package last February that sent him to the Clippers, bringing Tobias Harris and others to Philadelphia.

Begley has previously reported that the Clippers have interest in Morris, though the Knicks and Morris have mutual interest in reaching a free agency deal again this summer.

Morris is having one of the best seasons of his career, averaging 19.6 points and 5.4 rebounds in 43 games this season while playing 32.3 minutes per game.
