Cross one potential name off the list of potential candidates for the Mets’ top baseball job.

Cleveland Indians general manager Mike Chernoff will not interview with the team, according to league sources. That is not expected to change.

Former Miami Marlins president Michael Hill remains the only known interviewee since Steve Cohen and Sandy Alderson took control of the franchise. Oakland A’s GM David Forst is also now seen as unlikely, per sources.

As SNY has previously mentioned, MLB executive Chris Young, a former Mets pitcher, is among the possibilities for a job in the team’s front office.
