NEW YORK, NY, February 12, 2024 – SNY, the official television home of the New York Mets, today announced its exclusive spring training schedule for the start of the Mets 2024 season. Live Mets baseball swings back into action on SNY on Saturday, February 24 at 1:00 PM as the Mets host the St. Louis Cardinals at Clover Park in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
The network’s Emmy Award-winning broadcast team, Gary Cohen, Keith Hernandez, Ron Darling, return for their 19th season together. They are joined by SNY’s Mets field reporter Steve Gelbs, who will also do some play-by-play during Spring Training.
Former Mets All-Star Daniel Murphy will join the SNY broadcast booth for the February 27 and the February 28 games. Murphy will join Cohen and Darling for the Miami game and then will serve as color analyst alongside Cohen for the St. Louis game.
SNY’s Gary Apple, Jerry Blevins, Jim Duquette, Michelle Margaux, and Todd Zeile will also contribute to the network’s broadcasts throughout Spring Training.
SNY's Mets Hot Stove, hosted by Apple along with former Mets Zeile and Blevins will report from Clover Park Wednesday, February 21 and Thursday, February 22 at 6:30 PM. Mets players scheduled to appear on the show include Pete Alonso, Francisco Lindor and Brandon Nimmo.
SNY’s The Mets Pod, presented by Tri-State Cadillac will have a special Spring Training show on February 24. Hosts Connor Rogers and Joe DeMayo will be live from Clover Park at 12:00 PM on YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter/X. Fans can subscribe to The Mets Pod at Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts.
On March 15 at 3:10 PM, SNY will broadcast the Spring Breakout Game featuring minor league players from the Mets system playing against minor league players from the Washington Nationals system. This special game will be live prior to the 6:00 PM Mets vs. Nationals game.
SNY studio programming will also deliver the latest from spring training with Baseball Night in New York at 6:00 PM (5:30 PM on days preceding 6:00 PM game days) and Honda SportsNite at 11:00 PM. Both shows will provide up-to-the-minute news and highlights of the day from Port St. Lucie and from around the diamond.
