According to Albert Breer of The MMQB, Carter is also scheduled to visit the New England Patriots on Monday, and the Philadelphia native will limit his Top 30 visits to the first four teams in the draft (Tennessee, Cleveland, New York, and New England).
Carter, the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year in 2024, is considered by many as the top overall player in this year’s draft class and is coming off a season in which he racked up 12.0 sacks and 24 tackles for loss in 16 games for the Nittany Lions.
With Miami QB Cam Ward all but certain to go No. 1 to Tennessee, the Browns would have their choice between Carter, Colorado DB/WR Travis Hunter, and potentially Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders with the No. 2 pick, should they keep the selection.
No matter who gets taken second, the Giants will be able to land a potential franchise-changing player at No. 3, and Carter would certainly fit that billing, as pairing Carter with Brian Burns and Kayvon Thibodeaux would give the Giants an elite pass rush.
