The Mets wrapped up their spring training schedule with a 3-0 loss to the Yankees on Monday afternoon in Tampa, Fla.

Here are the takeaways…

- Sean Manaea, in his final spring tune-up, looked strong through the first four innings as he held the Yankees scoreless and struck out seven. The Yanks got to him for two runs in the fifth on a two-out Ben Cowles double, but overall it was a solid say for the lefty. Manaea finished his spring with a 3.31 ERA.

- Clarke Schmidt kept the Mets’ bats silent. The righty allowed just one hit, a Harrison Bader single, over his 5.0 innings of work. He struck out six and walked two to finish the spring schedule with a 3.18 ERA.

- Pete Alonso doubled off of Clay Holmes in the top of the sixth inning, slicing a line drive just inside the line and into the corner. Alonso was pulled for a pinch-runner, ending his spring with a .321 average and a .947 OPS.

- Starling Marte was hit by a Holmes pitch in the helmet in the top of the sixth inning. He never went down and was checked out by trainers, and while he was pulled from the game, it was around the time that most starters were finishing their days anyway. Marte was seen laughing in the dugout afterwards and Carlos Mendoza said after the game that he's fine.

- Monday’s Mets batting lineup may be exactly what fans see on Opening Day. Of note, Jeff McNeil hit cleanup behind Alonso (J.D. Martinez will all but certainly slide into the cleanup spot once activated), DJ Stewart served as the DH and hit sixth, and Francisco Alvarez, Brett Baty and Bader rounded out the order.

- Checking in on the Yankees big bats, Juan Soto went 0-for-3 with a strikeout, but he still finished his spring hitting at a .304 clip with a 1.003 OPS. Aaron Judge went 1-for-3 with a run scored, ending his abbreviated spring with a .629 OPS.
