Ryan Reaves reportedly staying with Vegas

Rangers were reported to be "keenly" interested

7/1/18 | Larry Brooks notes that Reaves preferred to stay in the West and that state taxes also came up as an issue. Brooks noted that the Rangers would have needed to come up with more money to make up the difference and either didn't or wouldn't.

9:21 AM: Andy Strickland tweets that there is "truth" to the idea that the Rangers are making a strong push to add Ryan Reaves.

Strickland notes that Reaves' former teammate and "buddy" Kevin Shattenkirk has been a "big part of the recruiting process."

Reaves, 31, had six fights last season according to HockeyFights.com.

In 419 career games, Reaves has 27 goals, 24 assists, a minus four rating, 695 PIM and an average of 8:00 per game.
