As the NFL free agency frenzy roars on and a few teams still remain without a quarterback, free agent Russell Wilson is scheduled to meet with the Giants on Friday after he meets with the Cleveland Browns on Thursday, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Wilson, 36, is the latest QB connected to Big Blue, who is also interested in former Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers after the team missed out on Matthew Stafford (who re-signed with the Los Angeles Rams) earlier in the offseason.
Missing the first five games last year with a calf injury, Wilson spent the 2024 season with the Pittsburgh Steelers, who signed him to a one-year, $1.2 million contract following his release from the Denver Broncos, where he spent two seasons.
In 11 games for the Steelers, Wilson went 6-5 and threw for 2,482 yards with a 63.7 completion percentage to go along with 16 passing TDs to just five INTs. He added 155 yards on the ground as well as two rushing TDs and was named to his 10th Pro Bowl -- his first since 2021.
After getting drafted in the third round (75th overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks, Wilson spent his first 10 years in Seattle, where he won a Super Bowl. In 13 seasons, the veteran has gone 121-77-1 and has thrown for 46,135 passing yards with 350 touchdowns and 111 interceptions.
