The Mets (9-11) begin a three-game weekend set against the Philadelphia Phillies (5-9) on Friday night at 7:05 p.m., with coverage on SNY beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Walker Lockett will make the spot start for the Mets against Phillies rookie Spencer Howard.

Jacob deGrom was scratched from Friday's start due to lingering neck tightness. ... Robinson Cano (hamstring) was activated off the IL by the Mets on Friday, with reliever Drew Smith being optioned to the Alternate Site to make room on the roster. ...
