The Rangers are trading Vincent Trocheck to the Utah Mammoth, according to multiple reports.

In exchange, New York receives Sean Durzi, Cole Beaudoin and a 2027 third-round pick.

Trocheck has long been one of the Blueshirts’ most valuable trade chips.

His name first came up in rumors around last year’s deadline, but Chris Drury set a steep asking price and ultimately decided to hang onto him through the end of the season.

The league-wide interest continued into this summer, though, and now the Blueshirts decided it was time to cash in with a package coming over from Utah.

Trocheck spent four seasons in the Big Apple.

The pesky do-it-all center has been heavily praised as one of the club’s most respected leaders both on and off the ice throughout those four years.

While his point production dropped off following career-best campaigns in his first two years, he remained a steady presence in the face-off dot and on both ends of the ice.

Trocheck finishes with 89 goals and 164 assists during his time as a Blueshirt.

The Rangers have beefed up their D-line with Durzi. The 6-foot-1 Canadian spent the last two seasons with Utah after stints in Los Angeles and Arizona -- before the move to Utah. In 60 games played, Durzi posted 27 points (five goals and 22 assists) a year after playing just 30 games and posting 11 points (four goals, seven assists). His career-best year came in Arizona (2023-24) when he scored nine goals and made 32 assists across 76 games, all career-highs.

Beaudoin, a 20-year-old center, was drafted 24th overall in the 2024 NHL Draft. He scored 33 goals and had 55 assists in 54 games with the Barrie Colts of the OHL this past season. He also had three goals and four assists in seven games with the Canadian U20 team.
