The Rangers are going to be without one of their key depth players for the beginning of the 2024-25 regular season.
Jimmy Vesey, who left practice over the weekend due to a lower-body injury, is expected to miss "a few weeks," head coach Peter Laviolette told reporters on Monday.
Vesey, 31, has been a lineup mainstay for the Blueshirts over the last two seasons.
He played in 80 regular season games last season after playing in 81 during the 2022-23 campaign.
Options to step up in Vesey's absence include youngsters Brennan Othmann and Adam Edstrom.
