Well hockey fans, we’ve officially reached the All-Star break.

Except this year, there isn’t an actual All-Star Game. Instead, the league will hold the first-ever 4 Nations Face-Off, a best-on-best round robin style tournament between NHL players from the United States, Canada, Finland, and Sweden.

Each team will play three games, and the two teams with the most points after that will advance to play in a one-game winner-takes-all championship matchup.

The action starts Wednesday night when Canada takes on Sweden at the Belle Centre.

Initial rosters were released a few months ago, but there were plenty of injury additions and subtractions along the way, so let's take a look at some of the local talent who will be participating in the highly anticipated event.

Team USA

Rangers: Adam Fox, Chris Kreider, Vincent Trocheck, J.T. Miller

Devils: Jack Hughes

Islanders: Brock Nelson

The local teams are well represented on Team USA.

Two of the three Hughes brothers were expected to play in the tournament, but with the youngest (Luke) missing the cut and the oldest (Quinn) sidelined with an undisclosed injury, it’ll only be Jack out there.

Hughes was skating alongside Jake Guentzel and captain Auston Matthews at USA practice on Monday -- a star-studded trio that has put up a combined 71 goals for their respective teams this season.

Miller was centering the third line with Minnesota Wild winger Matthew Boldy and Ottawa Senators star Brady Tkachuk, who was rumored to be a potential Rangers trade target at one point this season.

The fourth line has the potential to be all New York as Kreider is slated to compete with Detroit leading-scorer Dylan Larkin for a spot alongside Nelson and Trocheck -- we’ll see who cracks the lineup during their first game on Thursday night.

Fox is slotted in on Team USA's top defensive pairing with Carolina's Jaccob Slavin.

Team Canada: None.

No one from the Rangers, Isles, or Devils made the cut to represent Canada.

Still, it'll certainly be must-watch TV each time this high-powered squad hits the ice.

Their goaltending is a bit of a question mark heading in, but their defense is very strong headlined by Colorado’s Cale Makar, and they won’t have any problems finding the back of the net with their playmakers.

Just think about a power-play consisting of Makar, Sidney Crosby, Connor McDavid, Nathan McKinnon, and Sam Reinhart.

The atmosphere will be electric for all of their games at the Belle Centre -- especially on Saturday night when they square off with Team USA in a meeting of the two favorites.
