As the Rangers were outplayed by the Lightning in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Final with Tampa Bay tying the series, New York was without Ryan Strome for the entire game and lost Filip Chytil late in the second period.

After the game, head coach Gerard Gallant discussed the status of Strome and Chytil heading into Thursday night's Game 5 at Madison Square Garden.

On Strome, who skated in warmups before Game 4 but was scratched due to a lower-body injury, Gallant said he is day-to-day and that he will "hopefully" be ready for Game 5.

Chytil left Game 4 after a hit from Tampa defenseman Victor Hedman, and was later ruled out for the remainder of the game with an upper-body injury.

Gallant said Chytil "should be fine" for Game 5.

Game 5 is Thursday at 8 p.m. at Madison Square Garden, with Game 6 back in Tampa on Saturday.

Game 7, if necessary, would be at The Garden next Tuesday.
