The Rangers will be getting a major boost on Thursday when Igor Shesterkin returns from IR and starts in net against the Devils.
He had been on IR since Dec. 31.
Shesterkin has struggled this season, owning an 11-15-1 record and allowing 3.10 goals against on average with a .906 save percentage.
He inked a record-breaking eight-year, $92 million contract extension with New York on Dec. 7 after leading the team to the Presidents' Trophy during the 2023-24 regular season.
While Shesterkin was on IR, Jonathan Quick served as the starter with Louis Domingue as the backup.
