Blueshirts' 12th overtime/shootout loss tied for most in NHL

The Rangers tied the game late in the third but ended up losing to Detroit in a shootout Thursday night, 3-2. The Blueshirts have lost six straight games, with four of those coming in either overtime or a shootout. Henrik Lundqvist, who made 43 saves, became the third goaltender in NHL history to appear in at least 850 games with one franchise. Pavel Buchnevich scored both of the Rangers' goals. Kevin Shattenkirk was a healthy scratch. >> Box score
