The Philadelphia Phillies acquired ex-Mets RHP Noah Syndergaard from the Los Angels Angels. The Phillies will send Mickey Moniak and another prospect.
Syndergaard, 29, owns a 5-8 record with a 3.83 ERA over 15 starts this season. The right-hander has recorded a career-low 7.2 strikeouts per nine innings.
The Angels inked Syndergaard to a one-year $21 million contract this past offseason. After spending his first six seasons with the Mets, Syndergaard will return to the National League East.
