The Mets became the latest MLB team impacted by coronavirus cases, as the team announced Thursday that two members of the organization have tested positive.

Those who tested positive (along with anyone who was in close contact with them) stayed in Miami, while the rest of the team flew back to New York.

Unfortunately, the Mets' entire Subway Series with the Yankees -- originally set for this weekend -- has been postponed "out of an abundance of caution," according to Major League Baseball.

So while it's certainly a difficult situation for the Mets, Pete Alonso is doing all he can to stay positive.

The Mets first baseman took to Instagram on Friday to share his thoughts on the matter.

"Sometimes, the only thing you can do in life is smile," Alonso wrote. "There’s a lot of bulls--t and negativity that is in our world. We can choose to cave in and keep feeding the negative energy or we can choose to find the good. Every day is a blessing regardless of the circumstances"

When asked in a comment if his post meant that he had tested positive for COVID-19, Alonso replied: "I'm fortunate that I'm healthy and feeling strong as an ox. This post is to spread good vibes."

Next up on the Mets' schedule is a three-game set with the Miami Marlins at Citi Field, scheduled to begin on Tuesday.

As of now, nothing has been made official about whether or not those games will be impacted, as MLB continues to go through contact tracing with the Mets.
