Nets to sign former Suns guard Elie Okobo

The Nets are signing former Phoenix Suns guard Elie Okobo, according to The Athletic's Alex Schiffer and Shams Charania.

Okobo is a 6'3" guard from Bordeaux, France and was selected by the Suns with the first pick in the second round (No. 31 overall) of the 2018 NBA Draft. 

He has played in 108 games over the past two seasons, averaging 4.8 points, 2.2 assists, and 1.7 rebounds per game. Okobo is a career 31.5 percent shooter from three-point range while playing just an average of 15.5 minutes per game.

In nine games for the Northern Arizona Suns of the NBA G-League, Okobo averaged 18.1 points, 7.8 assists, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game during the 2018-19 season.
