Five things to know from Wednesday's game

1. While a reported James Harden trade was not yet official, the Nets were without a handful of players named in the four-team deal -- shooting guard Caris LeVert, center Jarrett Allen and forwards Taurean Prince and Rodions Kurucs. Brooklyn started veteran DeAndre Jordan in Allen's place while a lineup of Bruce Brown, Joe Harris, Jeff Green and Kevin Durant remained the same from Tuesday's 122-116 win over the Denver Nuggets.

2. Playing in his first back-to-back stretch of the season after a 36-minute game against Denver, Durant still came out firing. He dropped 26 points on 10-of-18 shooting, including 3 for 5 from long range, while adding six assists and two blocks in 30 minutes. Durant has now scored 22 points or more in each of his first nine games with the Nets.

3. Without Kyrie Irving for a fifth straight game due to personal reasons, the Nets rotated point guard Chris Chiozza off the bench. Chiozza headlined a four-man bench rotation of Landry Shamet, Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot and Reggie Perry. Luwawu-Cabarrot's 13 points on 5-of-13 shooting and Chiozza's team-high seven assists highlighted Brooklyn's impressive bench effort. Just one turnover underlined an impressive first half for the Nets' nine-man rotation between starters and reserves.

4. Perry gave the Nets a boost off the bench, including a nine-point surge while making all four field goals in his first six minutes. Overall, he scored 11 points on 5-of-7 shooting and grabbed five rebounds in 22 minutes. For perspective, he posted just seven points on 3-of-9 shooting in 20 minutes through his first four games. Perry entered Wednesday with eight rebounds and four assists.

5. After a 16-point performance in Brooklyn's comeback victory against the Nuggets, Brown picked up where he left off with his performance at MSG. Brown tied Durant with a team-high 12 points at the half, sparking a 35-20 second quarter in which the Nets went on a 15-2 run over the final 4:31.

Brown -- acquired Nov. 19 by Brooklyn in a three-team trade with the Detroit Pistons -- has proven to be a nice find for the Nets. Brown posted a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds while adding two assists in the 30-minute start.
