Kyrie Irving's agents "have made it known" he "would simply retire" if the Nets were to trade him, according to a Wednesday report by Fox Sports 1's Nick Wright.

Irving, 29, is entering the third year of a four-year, the final of which is a player option.

On Wednesday night, Irving replied to Wright's tweet, calling him "A Puppet," complete with a GIF.

Wright responded to Irving defending his initial report: "Kyrie, if you’re saying you didn’t say you’d retire if you were traded, then your beef is with your representation, not with me, because you and I both know that’s what they’ve told people."

There hasn't been any outward reporting that the Nets are considering trading him.
