Knicks potential trade target Indiana Pacers C Myles Turner is expected to be out past the Feb. 10 NBA trade deadline due to a stress reaction in his left foot.

Will that change the Knicks' thoughts on trading for the big man?

SNY's Ian Begley previously reported that there was internal chatter within the Knicks' front office about trading for Turner. The Pacers are reportedly looking to pivot to a rebuild, and Turner is a prime candidate to be moved.

But, if the Knicks are making this trade for a playoff addition, who knows when Turner will actually be back on the floor to contribute?

To make a deal happen, Begley noted that New York would likely move one of its centers, either Mitchell Robinson or Nerlens Noel, in any package. Both are injury prone themselves, so you'd be taking a chance on Turner if he does need to rehab still past the deadline.

The Knicks have been linked to Turner for some time now. One of the best shot blockers in the game, Turner is a serious force down low and someone who head coach Tom Thibodeau would love to pair with Robinson -- if he isn't a part of the deal.

Turner still has one year left on his contract before heading into free agency before the 2023-24 season.
