After a 5-2 loss Friday to the Marlins, the Mets go for at least a split of the set. New York, which won the opener Thursday with a 10-0 rout, is 41-9 when it scores first and 19-5-2 in its 26 series this season.
Keith Hernandez's No. 17 gets retired at Citi Field, and the Mets are set to wear a commemorative patch on their jerseys. Hernandez, a 1997 inductee into the Mets Hall of Fame, has the franchise's second-highest batting average (.297) and earned six Gold Gloves while with New York -- the most ever for a Met.

Who is starting for the Mets?

Carrasco, who looks to build off a bounce-back start from this past Sunday against the Texas Rangers -- he got the win with a 5 2/3-IP outing, highlighted by his eight strikeouts to one walk while yielding one run (a solo home run) on six hits. Carrasco's last game versus the Marlins was a 6 1/3-IP start June 17 that saw him scatter three runs on eight hits with one home run and seven strikeouts to two walks.

Who is starting for the Marlins?

Braxton Garrett, who is 1-3 with a 4.25 ERA. The southpaw faced the Mets June 18, getting the start in an eventual four-inning outing. New York got to Garrett for three runs on five hits and zero strikeouts in an ultimate 3-2 win over the Marlins.
