The Mets seek consecutive series wins as Friday's three-game set with the Cleveland Guardians begins at 7:10 p.m. on SNY.

Mets notes

- New York continues a six-game homestand at Citi Field after winning two of three against the MLB-best Tampa Bay Rays, capped by Thursday's 3-2 victory. The Mets are in search of their second-straight series victory, for the first time since April 7-19 -- when they won four consecutive sets against the Miami Marlins, San Diego Padres, Oakland Athletics and Los Angeles Dodgers.

- With a victory, the Mets would return to .500 for the first time since May 6, when New York was 17-17.

- Before the game, the Mets called up former Yankees slugger Gary Sanchez, as SNY's Andy Martino reported Thursday evening. The 30-year-old Sanchez, a two-time All-Star, batted .308 with one home run, two doubles and five RBI in eight games with Triple-A Syracuse after being signed to a minor-league contract May 9.
