Mets Triple-A pitchers Stephen Tarpley and Sam McWilliams are on the COVID Injured List as of Wednesday evening.

According to organizational sources, Tarpley has been isolating for a few days. McWilliams’ circumstances were not immediately clear.

As of Wednesday afternoon, no other Syracuse personnel had been impacted, per sources.

The big league Mets have not reached the 85 percent vaccination threshold that MLB has set as a goal for each team. With players shuttling between Triple-A and the majors, this raised a question about potential exposure in Atlanta.

According to sources, more Syracuse players are fully vaccinated than Mets players.

Per sources, RHP Yennsy Diaz, who arrived on Wednesday in Atlanta from Syracuse, would have to pass a rapid COVID test during intake before joining the team. Diaz flew commercial to Atlanta, as did outfielder Cameron Maybin. Anyone arriving that way must first test negative.
