Andres Gimenez, SS, Double-A Binghamton -- ETA 2020

Last time we looked at Gimenez, he had just three hits in his last 17 at-bats. Well those numbers didn't really change much.

Over the past week, the shortstop has four hits in 17 at-bats. He did have a solid game on July 31, though, going 2-for-2 with a homer, double, and a walk. Overall, Gimenez is slashing .243/.312/.375 so far this season in Double-A.

Ronny Mauricio, SS, Low-A Columbia -- ETA 2022

Mauricio, who we recently profiled here, cooled down just a little bit after a hot stretch two weeks ago. He went 4-for-15 with five runs scored and three RBI as well.

The 6-foot-3 infielder is still having a fine season at .282 with three homers and 29 RBI.

Mark Vientos, 3B, Low-A Columbia -- ETA 2021

Vientos continues to hit well, owning a five-game hit streak this week. He went 8-for-18 with his latest game a 3-for-4 performance that was a home run shy of the cycle. He had five RBI as well.

Overall, Vientos is now hitting .264 after this week.

Shervyen Newton, SS, Low-A Columbia -- ETA 2022

Newton is still trying to stay above the Mendoza line after his 2-for-13 performance this past week. Hitting just .209, Newton has just two hits in his last eight games.

The 20-year-old Newton -- who we recently profiled here -- shows "a very advanced approach at the plate for a prospect his age," according to MLB.com's scouting report. He hit .280/.408/.449 with with five homers, 16 doubles, and two triples in 56 games last season for Rookie level Kingsport.

David Peterson, LHP, Double-A Binghamton -- ETA 2020

Peterson didn't last too long in his last start for the Binghamton Mets, but the damage wasn't significant. He allowed just one run on one hit and one walk while striking out three over 3.1 innings.

Over 19 starts this season, he has a 4.37 ERA and 3.34 FIP over 90.2 innings.

Thomas Szapucki, LHP, High-A St. Lucie -- ETA 2021

Szzpucki continued his successful season with St. Lucie in his last start. He allowed just one run on five hits and three walks while collecting seven strikeouts in 4.2 innings.

It's only been six starts, but Szapucki has a 2.45 ERA over 22 innings, and he's only allowed one homer thus far.

Brett Baty, 3B, Rookie level Kingsport

Josh Wolf, RHP, Rookie level GCL

Matthew Allan, RHP, Rookie level GCL

The three most highly-regarded players the Mets took in the MLB Draft in June -- Baty (first round, No. 12 overall), Wolf (second round, 53rd overall), and Allan (third round, No. 89 overall) -- will all likely be on any future versions of the Mets' Top 10.

Baty had a mundane week, going 2-for-11 with two doubles. He's still trying to find his way in Kingsport with a .169 average over 22 games. He does have three homers and 13 RBI, though.

Wolf still hasn't pitched since his July 20 start where he lasted just one inning.

Allan got a start yesterday, where he had a little trouble with his control. Over 1.1 innings, he didn't allow a hit, but issuing three walks caused one run to come across. He had four strikeouts as well.
