The Mets couldn’t figure out the Braves’ pitchers, collecting only three hits in their 7-0 loss to Atlanta >> Box Score

Five Takeaways from Sunday’s game

1) Rick Porcello pitched a solid seven innings for the Mets, but obviously didn’t get enough run support. His only blemish was a solo homer he gave up to Ronald Acuna Jr. in the top of the sixth inning. Porcello totaled 10 strikeouts with two walks and three hits allowed.

2) On the other side, Kyle Wright, who came into the game with an ERA over 7.00, pitched a gem. He allowed a single hit over 6.1 innings of work with six strikeouts and one walk.

3 )Travis d’Arnaud added much-needed insurance for the Braves in the top of the eighth with a two-run single off Jeurys Familia to make it 3-0. And the Braves blew things open in the top of the ninth when Chasen Shreve allowed four runs (three earned) on two hits and two walks.

4) Wilson Ramos, the No. 9 hitter for the Mets, was the only productive one at the plate with two hit in three at-bats. Brandon Nimmo had the only other hit for the Mets.

5) It was a big off day for Michael Conforto with an 0-for-4 day with three strikeouts at the dish.
