Six things to know from Saturday’s game 2
1. Rick Porcello had a rough outing, allowing five runs on eights hits and 67 pitches over 3.0 innings.
In the bottom of the third inning, Porcello started to unravel. Trea Turner homered to right center field to make it a 1-0 game. Yadiel Hernandez then doubled to score Juan Soto, before scoring himself on a Kurt Suzuki RBI single. Josh Harrison drove in Suzuki, and then scored after Michael A. Taylor singled, extending the Nats' lead to 5-0.

2. Pete Alonso launched a line drive home run to left center in the top of the fourth inning -- his 14th homer of the season -- to make it a 5-2 game. Alonso finished the game 2-for-2 with two RBI and walked once.
3. Dellin Betances threw in a game for the first time since Aug. 28, as he came in for relief in the fifth inning. He walked two and struck out two in just 23 pitches.
4. Robinson Cano went 2-for-3 from the plate with a double and a run scored, it was his tenth double of the year. Cano and Alonso were the only Mets to record multiple hits in the game.
5. With the bases loaded and one out in the sixth inning, Todd Frazier singled to left that scored Jeff McNeil to make it a 5-3 game.
Wander Suero struck out Luis Guillorme and Amed Rosario to get out of the sixth, as the Mets left the bases loaded.
6. Prior to the game, INF Andres Giminez was placed on the 10-Day IL with right oblique tightness. RHP Robert Gsellman was transferred to the 60-Day IL, and OF Ryan Cordell was selected.
