The Mets have officially signed all of their 2020 MLB Draft picks, as second-round selection J.T. Ginn has inked a contract worth $2.9 million, per MLB Pipeline's Jim Callis.

That contract is worth much more than Ginn's slot as the 52nd overall selection, as it is supposed to be $1,403,200. However, the Mets clearly love what they've seen from the Mississippi State right-hander. And that's even after he got Tommy John surgery back in March.

Ginn could've gone back to the Bulldogs for his senior season to bring his draft stock back up. But paying past that slot value likely played a big part in him committing to his pro career with the Mets.

Some scouts believed Ginn to be a Top-10 pick before he went down. He has scary stuff on the bump when he's on his game, with a high-90s fastball and very sharp slider highlighting his repertoire.

Pete Crow-Armstrong, the Mets' first-round choice at No. 19 overall, signed last week at his full slot value of $3,359,000. The Mets have already reportedly agreed to deals with outfielder Isaiah Greene, shortstop Anthony Walters, catcher Matthew Dyer and right-hander Eric Orze, with Walters and Orze getting $20,000 signing bonuses, both significantly under the slot value.
