Who is starting for the Mets?

Max Scherzer, who is making his first start since May 18 following an IL stint due to an oblique strain. Prior to his injury, Scherzer posted a 2.54 ERA over 49.2 innings, and the Mets have gone 6-2 in his eight starts this season. Scherzer has excellent career numbers against the Reds, pitching to a 1.84 ERA in nine career starts.

Who is starting for the Reds?

Nick Lodolo, who is making his fourth career major league start. The 24-year-old rookie lefthander has pitched to a 5.52 ERA, striking out 19 and walking five in his 14.2 innings.
