On the BP list, catcher Francisco Alvarez is No. 10 (he was No. 13 on the BA list), third baseman Brett Baty is No. 13 (he was No. 39 on the BA list), and shortstop Ronny Mauricio is No. 51 (he was No. 92 on the BA list).

Alvarez, 20, is widely viewed as the Mets' best prospect and one of the very best prospects in baseball.

The expectation is that he'll spend the majority of the 2022 season in Double-A Binghamton, with him on track to make his MLB debut in 2023.

Baty should open the season with Binghamton (where he spent the last 40 games of the 2021 season), but could be ticketed for Triple-A at some point during the year.

The 22-year-old Baty will likely be a third baseman when he reaches the majors, but he was given a taste of left field last season to increase his potential versatility.

Like Baty, the 20-year-old Mauricio is expected to open the season with Binghamton, where he spent the final eight games of last season after playing 100 games for High-A Brooklyn.

With Mauricio being a natural shortstop, his big league home (if he remains with the Mets) could be third base or second base due to Francisco Lindor manning short for the next decade.
