Here is the latest on some of the Mets' top prospects...

Francisco Alvarez, Double-A Binghamton

Alvarez is almost impossibly hot, hitting .308/.321/.846 with four homers and two doubles in seven games in June.

Following a power drought at the end of April and through most of May, Alvarez has eight homers in his last 12 games and has his triple slash for the season up to .275/.343/.538 with 12 homers, 12 doubles, 31 RBI, and 29 runs scored in 47 games.

As a reminder, the 20-year-old Alvarez is four years younger than the average player in the Double-A Eastern League.

3B/LF Brett Baty, Binghamton

After a brief stint on the IL, Baty returned to the lineup on June 3 and has collected three multi-hit games in five games played since being activated.

Baty is hitting .333/.368/.500 in June (which covers that whole five-game sample).

Overall this season, Baty is slashing .260/.351/.420 with four homers and 12 doubles in 41 games.

SS Ronny Mauricio, Binghamton

Mauricio is hitting for power, with nine homers, 13 doubles, and one triple adding up to a .474 slugging percentage -- the highest of his professional career.

But he is still not getting on base much, hitting .253 with an OBP of just .284, which is right around his career OBP of .300.

Part of Mauricio's inability to get on base much stems from him not drawing many walks. He has just seven this season after walking 24 times in 108 games in 2021.

RHP Mike Vasil, High-A Brooklyn

Vasil, whom the Mets selected in the eighth round of the 2021 MLB Draft, has seen his stuff tick up since joining the organization. And he was terrific this season for St. Lucie before a promotion to Brooklyn.

Vasil had a 1.80 ERA and 0.97 WHIP with 37 strikeouts in 35 innings (eight starts) for St. Lucie earlier this season.

Since being promoted to Brooklyn, he has allowed six runs on seven hits while walking three and striking out 14 in nine innings over two starts.

RHP Calvin Ziegler, Single-A St. Lucie

The 19-year-old Ziegler, who is embracing analytics while turning heads with his arsenal, has been dominant in his first professional season.

In 31 innings over eight starts for St. Lucie, Ziegler has a 2.90 ERA and 0.96 WHIP with 51 strikeouts in 31 innings. That's a strikeout rate of 14.8 per nine.

Ziegler has been a bit wild, though, walking 5.5 per nine (19 total).

OF Alex Ramirez, St. Lucie

Ramirez is shining for St. Lucie in his second professional season, hitting .307/.345/.466 with three homers, five triples, 11 doubles, 23 RBI, 24 runs scored, and six stolen bases in 45 games.

3B/OF Mark Vientos is currently on the IL.

He is hitting .250/.336/.471 with seven homers in 39 games for Triple-A Syracuse.
