Mets prospect Brandon Sproat named Eastern League Pitcher of the Year

Mets top pitching prospect Brandon Sproat "skyrocketed" his way through the Mets organization in 2024, starting in High-A Brooklyn, going through Double-A Binghamton and finishing the season in Triple A-Syracuse. His rapid ascension earned him Mets Minor League Pitcher of The Year honors and he was at Citi Field on Friday to receive the award. Asked what his timetable was to take that final step to New York, he stated, "when it's my time it's my time. Until then I'm going to put my head down, keep working hard. When I get up here I'll make the most of it."
