Saying he was pretty sure "it was just a cramp," Mark Vientos didn't anticipate his leg injury that caused him to leave the game was serious. His teammates Kodai Senga and Pete Alonso took care of business in his absence, leading the Mets to a 3-0 win. Senga allowed just three hits over 5.2 innings but still had to escape some jams. Alonso continued to rake, doubling home a run in the third and launching his sixth HR in the eighth.  He said he hadn't been this "locked in" since college and his two RBI moved him into a tie for the National League lead with 23.
