Mets reveal 2022 Old Timers' Day roster

The 2022 Mets Old Timers' Day roster is here.

New York announced Thursday that 65 former players and managers would be on hand for the Aug. 27 event at Citi Field, which takes place before the Mets' 7:10 p.m. game against the Colorado Rockies.

Eleven Mets Hall of Fame members -- Edgardo Alfonzo (1995-02), Ron Darling (1983-91), Dwight Gooden (1984-89), John Franco (1990-04), Keith Hernandez (1983-89), Cleon Jones (1963-75), Ed Kranepool (1962-79), Jon Matlack (1971-77), Mike Piazza (1998-05), Darryl Strawberry (1983-90) and Mookie Wilson (1980-89) -- headline the list.

Three Baseball Hall of Fame members in Piazza, Joe Torre (1977-81) and Pedro Martinez (2005-08) are also set to attend.

Managers include Terry Collins (2011-17), Torre, Willie Randolph (2005-08) and Bobby Valentine (1996-02).

Yoenis Cespedes (2015-18, 2020, who was previously expected to participate, is not on the roster.

Recent Mets still anticipated are Bartolo Colon (2014-16), Daniel Murphy (2008-15) and Jose Reyes (2003-11, 2016-18).

Old Timers' Day introductions begin at 4:30 p.m. A red-carpet entrance, accessible for fans, begins at 2 p.m. Gates open at 3:30 p.m.
